UncaAlby I have no file on any of my hard drives called msmsgs.exe, yet the task manager always shows it as running. Msnsgs is the legitimate messenger. I have renamed the offending file -- we'll see what happens. An example would be "svchost.exe" - which doesn't appear in either under normal conditions but does via CTRL+ALT+DEL. his comment is here
