Moodle Error Writing To Database Backup
This is currently done with an Ajax call that invokes the silent restore. So, if anyone can give me a background lesson, including how to break up backups into smaller restores......I just need to clear my head. Many of my courses have copied across fine onto the new system. Could you check that out? Source
I am going to review the identified broken course's blocks and settings to see if I can find a pattern. I have a backup for a computer course that is 1.14 GB The MBZ file (backup-moodle2-course-ist2300.mc-fa0111-20120521-2357) is the only file I have. Bottom line ... 'scrub' the copy of the 1.9 course before making a no user backup and TIA (try it again).
A quick comparison of the mdl_book table of each instance using phpMyAdmin showed that the intro field (column) was missing from the upgraded version. When mysql recreated the logs in the new size that may have changed their format to STATEMENT-- I'm not sure. preg_replace is defined to return null if 'an error occurs'.
